Sellstrom/RTC Permacable is a pre-engineered synthetic cable. It is lightweight (only 15 lb. per 100ft.), strong (tensile strength 16,000 lb.) and has excellent resistance to weather and chemicals. The syntheic cable reduces the forces transferred to the anchorages. Permacable meets all recommended OSHA requirements for horizontal lifelines and can span up to 200 feet without intermediate supports, inlike traditional steel cable which requires support every 30 ft. to 50 ft. It can support up to 4 workers at a time. A special red liner in the cable alerts the user to wear or damage.
